HORROR ICON TOBIN BELL HITS “BUMP”
Actor attached to star in Robert Kurtzman film of acclaimed graphic novel

Bump co-producer Scott Licina announced today that Tobin Bell, known to horror audiences worldwide
for his award-winning turn as Jigsaw in the Saw franchise, will take on the lead role of Sheriff Lundy in the film adaptation
of the acclaimed comic mini-series, Bump. Bell, who will also produce, joins fellow horror legend Robert Kurtzman, who will direct.

Mark Kidwell, the creator, writer and artist of Bump, couldn’t be happier with Bell’s decision.
He said, “The role of Sheriff Lundy is pivotal to the BUMP storyline and the key to its “cautionary” message.
Tobin brings the believability and depth that the role requires. The character is in good hands.”

In addition to his role of Jigsaw, which netted him the nomination for Best Villain at the MTV Movie Awards in both 2006 and 2007,
Bell has appeared in such genre television favorites as Alias, 24, The X-Files, and Stargate SG-1, as well as films like
The Firm, In the Line of Fire, and Buried Alive. Saw IV, the latest chapter in the franchise, brought home an impressive
$32 million and commanded the #1 spot at the box office this past opening weekend.

Kurtzman, who just finished directing To Live and Die with Sean Patrick Flannery and Joe Pantoliano for MGM,
will also bring his special effects wizardry to bear on the project. Kurtzman’s horror resume is well-known,
including Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness, From Dusk Til Dawn, and dozens more.

For his part, Bell is ready to get into the head of Bump’s conflicted hero.
He said: “Sheriff Lundy has been enforcing local law for many years in this rural community.
This is HIS turf. He’s seen a lot in his day, but never anything like the terrifying, formidable foe he’s up against here.
Seasoned, tough-as-nails, determined to prevail, this sheriff’s not the kind of guy you fuck with.”

A trade paperback collecting the four-issue Bump mini-series originally released by Fangoria,
along with added bonus material, is slated to ship in early 2008. Critics from the
comic world enthusiastically embraced the series upon its release this year.

"I'm in the midst of developing two TV shows in Los Angeles. One is called Shock Treatment,
and we're developing some 10-minute webisodes for that. Webisodes seem to be "the future."
And I'm working on something with Lions Gate called Dia de Los Muertos,
which means "the day of the dead." It's based on a novel we have the rights to.
I'm busy, doing a little of this and a little of that."

"The Kill Point" revolves around a downtown bank robbery by a team of
American Iraqi-War veterans that goes terribly awry and the hostage
negotiations that ensue. More than a dozen hostages from all walks of
life are taken, ranging from the daughter of a business tycoon to an
adulterous couple. Throughout the eight-hour event, viewers will
follow the escalating action as the volatile soldiers plot their way
out, the negotiator anticipates their moves and the hostages
desperately try to survive."

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette--Donnie Walhberg will be playing the chief negotiator and John Leguizamo will play the guy who stages the robbery. Not sure where our boy fits in yet, but wherever it is, it'll be the best part : )

...he discusses a TV series he's developing with a couple other guys out in LA ...it's about an asylum... and Tobin plays the head of the asylum... Wheeee!!!

"And while he waits for word on his involvement in SAW IV, Bell (who co-stars in director Robert Kurtzman's fright feature BURIED ALIVE, coming from Dimension) has been busy writing a few movies of his own—including, fans may be surprised to learn, "a family film that I'm in the midst of trying to get produced right now. It's similar to HOME ALONE, and it's got some actors attached to it. I wrote a film about Afghanistan a couple of years ago, and that was bought by a film company and is in development. I wrote a love story about a guy who works in an ad agency in Boston who retires and goes to the
island of St. Lucia to paint. Right now, I'm working on a very scary film called SAVAGE LAND, about a man's pursuit of his past. I like
to work in different areas."

According to Fangoria, our boy's got himself a leading role in a pretty darn aweseom script by Brain Sieve--

"Brian’s script is filled with scenes of outrageous terror that will redefine the BOOGEYMAN franchise," says Rob Tapert, Producer.

The US DVD release date is: March 6, 2007. The US title is Decoys: The Second Seduction. This has been confirmed by phone with Sony Pictures, by Sony's US website, and by Amazon.com.

Sony's UK website reports that the UK DVD Release date is March 12, 2007, and that the UK title is Decoys 2: Alien Seduction.

A new interview is up (The Yahoo! Group Members have already seen this - I've just been slow getting it on the website, sorry, folks - but it's up now!).

It has been announced on Fangoria that Tobin is currently filming another show-- The Haunting Hours, Vol. 1 Don't Think About It. See here for details!

A correction - for the past few weeks it has been said on the Decoys 2 page that Decoys would be going straight to DVD. That's what our original source said, but I don't think that's entirely accurate anymore. Everything I'm hearing now says it will be a made-for-TV movie (which makes sense since it's a SciFi extravaganza : P).

Anyway, my apologies for that. If any new info arises, God knows I'll announce it : P

Anyone who has been following "The Tobin Project" here or on our Yahoo! Group - if you wanna see pictures of the actual jacket, they're now up! : )

Ok, we've got... 6...7? I don't even know how many new interviews we have, but it's a lot! What I've tried to do is to sort through the various ones so you won't have any repeats. So - *realize*: if you're reading one and you're thinking - hey, this ounds a little like the last one -> you might be right, but I wouldn't have included it unless there was something extra to it - so keep readin'! ; ) Enjoy!

Also - the Trivia Section has been updated. The Trivia Section is about to get mega-updated in a couple weeks - I'll explain more later, but you guys will definitely enjoy! : )

The SAW Album has officially been transferred over from the Group. Also, I had missed putting up the Murder One Album before, but that too is now up. Our total number of Tobin screen captures and photos is: 964 ...and guess what? We ain't done yet! The specialty/for fun albums have yet to be uploaded.

Oh, also, something I posted earlier this week but didn't announce - there's a new entry under Tobin's Colleagues : )

Also, some have probably noticed this - the Photos section has gotten some major album updates. The only album left to be transferred from the Yahoo Group is SAW (that would be SAW, SAW 2 and SAW 3, aka the album that never ends ; P). I'll let y'all know when that sucker is finally up.

The Tobin Project 3 has been completed! I have yet to see it, lol!, but according to the the person who was nice enough to pick it up for me (a very reliable person), the embroidery worked out very nicely. So booyah to that!

The forums on Tobin's Official Site are up, so go on over and show off your It's a Tobin thing spirit!

Finally, for all of you who watched the Scream Awards, you know he didn't win, but I have no doubt our boy's gonna be up for a hellofa lot for his performance in Saw 3, so let's just put that *insert highly negative word* behind us and look ahead to the future! ; )
